Estate Planning

Estate planning is the legal process of protecting your assets and making a plan to ensure your property is protected and passes to the people you want.

Estate Planning Process

1.

Initial Consultation

The initial consultation will be a thirty-minute meeting by phone or Zoom. In this meeting, you and Jeremy can get to know one another and briefly discuss your estate planning needs, prices for legal services, and schedule your planning meeting.

2.

Planning Meeting

The planning meeting will be over Zoom or in-person (your preference). During this consultation, we will review your property and accounts and discuss the legal documents you need. The goal is to ensure that everything is protected and passing smoothly to your loved ones.

3.

Review Drafts

The review of documents will be done either by phone or by Zoom (whichever is your preference). Jeremy will thoroughly explain the function of each document and answer any questions or concerns.

4.

Signing Documents

The signing appointment will be where we sign all your documents and create a portfolio to keep everything organized. Signings may be done at office locations in either Dallas, Fort Worth, or Las Colinas (or at your home if that is your preference).

Core Documents

While individual estate plans may differ, everyone needs a version of a (1) Will/Trust, (2) Financial Power of Attorney, and (3) Medical Documents. Having a firm understanding of the form and function of each of these will aid you in constructing a plan that best suits the individual needs of you and your loved ones.
